Medium Used:
Most of this drawing is done in Crayola/Roseart markets. However there are a few exceptions for the stars, outlining and skin tone. Outlining was done with an average non ball point pen… it the flowing ink one... unfortunately I had a few mistakes... as a result that I merged two ink drawings and printed it. Then I re-inked some of the sections to make it darker. While the skin tone was done with Prism “Light Peach” color pencil.

This was created during my junior year of college. April 2005. (21yrs.)

Description:
To begin, I want to say that this is Chibi Usa AKA Small Lady/Rini/Daughter of Mamaru and Usagi form Sailor Moon by Takeuchi Naoko.
The story to this picture began as a the sketch over thanks giving break at my friends house since I never go home for Thanks Giving : (. Anyway I was flipping though magazines and this pose is similar to what the advertisement was. And I have many drawings like that hidden away… where I’m inspired by something.
Anyway the sketch was done and has been sitting to the to do pile.
Well I finally got to the to do pile after I had a very stressful week. I was getting frustrated with work, friends and school. And then I had the nerve of some one calling me not a true artists cause I wasn’t in Deviantart. So I kept trying to ink this drawing perfectly… but as I mentioned before I couldn’t… and well I killed a lot of trees… Yeah Anyway it was probably cause I didn’t have a real light table and my back was killing me… But I was determined to get this done and I did and it was so great that it was done… and I know it looks good and descents… but it also looks rushed and unfinished so maybe who knows I might redo it later…Life so grand.
Moving on I think that’s why I loves this picture… its was calming and peaceful to me… the fact that even though she is a princess, well maybe now the new queen… all alone, full of worries and has a conscious heart, she is still peaceful and relaxed. Takes it one at a time and enjoys the surrounding beauty as she allows the heavens to guide here.
I know… it’s a lot of mixed emotions from my side to create this simple image, but as they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
